Lucina A. Mena, Senior Program Director
She completed her Bachelor Degree in Early Child Education at California State University Dominguez Hills. Ms. Mena began her employment at CurtisCARE's predecessor McKinney Jenkins Programs in 2008. She became Program Director of CurtisCARE Infant Development Program in Downey in 2006.
Curtis Jenkins, Executive Director
Curtis Jenkins attended UCLA and graduated in 1974 with a degree in Fine Arts. His studies also include music, real estate, psychology and Early Childhood Development. After his graduation he worked for the City of Compton where he was reared. In 1980, Mr. Jenkins cofounded McKinney Jenkins and vendored residential and adult day behavior managements programs through Harbor Regional Center, Westside Regional Center and South Central Los Angeles Regional Center (SCLARC), respectfully. In 2007 he founded CurtisCARE Child Development Programs through SCLARC and, Making Parenting A Pleasure, through Los Angeles County.
Sherri Patton M.A.
Ms. Patton completed her Masters Degree at Pacific Oaks College in 2016 and her BA Child Development and Family Studies in 2011 at California State University Long Beach. Baccalaureate of Social Science at Ashford University. She is Bilingual in Spanish and completed courses in Supervision , Head Start Leadership and knowledge of NAEYC regulations in ECE.
Connie Villarreal, In-Home Supervisor
Ms. Villarreal started as an In-Home teacher and has since proceeded to become its supervisor. She completed her Bachelor’s degree education in Early Childhood Education in 2017
Ms. Ojeda is a recent graduate of Pacific Oaks College with a B.A. degree with a major in Early Childhood Development. She supervises the Centerbased program in Downey after starting as teacher at CurtisCARE in 2008.
