In Home Child Development Early Interventionist Teacher

  

Job Title: In-Home Child Development Early Interventionist Teacher
Company: CurtisCARE Child Development
Location: Downey, Compton, Bell, Paramount, Cudahy, Huntington Park, South Gate, Carson, and surrounding communities. (Travel to homes required) 

Employment Type: Non-Exempt Hourly (30-40 hours/week)



About CurtisCARE
CurtisCARE delivers high-quality early intervention services for infants and toddlers ages 18 -36 months of age with developmental delays. Our mission is to support children and families through individualized, home-based, family-centered interventions delivered by a professional multidisciplinary team.

  

Position Summary
The Early Interventionist Teacher provides in-home, direct intervention services. You will plan and implement individualized strategies for children with developmental delays, coach parents/caregivers on embedding supports into daily routines, document progress, travel locally to clients’ homes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver cohesive, effective services.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct in-home      intervention services aligned with each child’s goals and family routines.
  • Develop and implement      individualized, routine-based intervention plans.
  • Coach parents/caregivers to embed      developmental strategies throughout daily activities (mealtime, play,      routines).
  • Document visits, progress notes,      service logs, and observations according to program standards.
  • Maintain health & safety in      home and intervention environment; follow regulatory and agency policies.
  • Participate in team meetings,      supervision, and ongoing professional development.
  • Travel to client homes within      service area; track mileage/travel as required.

  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 24 early childhood /      child development units from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 1 year of experience      working with children with developmental delays (early childhood or      home-based setting).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable      transportation, and ability to travel within service area.

  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in child      development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education or a related      field.
  • Experience providing home-based      early intervention services.
  • Experience with documentation,      progress monitoring, and individualized plans.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)      strongly preferred.

  

Compensation

  • Hourly range: Based upon education and experience.
  • Paid mileage reimbursement.
  • Flexible scheduling (30-40 hours/week) with professional growth and training opportunities.
